Founder
Rabbi David Fohrman
Founder / Lead Scholar
Rabbi David Fohrman is an internationally renowned lecturer on biblical themes, and the founder and principal educator at Aleph Beta. He has served as an adjunct professor at Johns Hopkins University, and as a lead writer and editor for ArtScroll's Talmud translation project. Rabbi Fohrman has also served as scholar for the Hoffberger Foundation for Torah Study. He is the author of The Beast That Crouches at the Door, a finalist for the 2007 National Jewish Book Award, The Queen You Thought You Knew, and The Exodus You Almost Passed Over. His latest book project is the Parsha Companion series, a five volume collection on the weekly parsha. Genesis and Exodus are available. Stay tuned for the next three volumes coming soon!
Rabbi Fohrman spent his childhood years in the San Francisco Bay Area, where he reveled in the opportunity to hike in Yosemite National Park. He currently lives in Woodmere, NY, with his wife and children (but is still game to head back to Yosemite at a moment's notice).

Imu Shalev
CEO
Imu Shalev is the CEO at Aleph Beta. He works closely with Rabbi David Fohrman and a team of writers, producers and animators on creating podcasts and video presentations for the meaningful study of Biblical text. Immanuel hosts "A" Book Like No Other" a new podcast that features Rabbi Fohrman's latest Torah research. Imu also served as Executive Producer and brand consultant for Mayim Bialik's YouTube and social media channels. Immanuel previously served as a singer and Director of the Maccabeats and wrote and produced the viral video "Candlelight" with over 16 million views on youtube. Imu has worked on more than 30 YouTube videos that have broken 1 Million views. He is passionate about bringing meaning to Jewish education through the medium of podcast, video and technology. Immanuel graduated from Fordham Law school, and Yeshiva University and attended Yeshivat Kerem B'Yavneh.
Adina Blaustein
Content Team Director
Adina supports the work of the content team by maintaining production schedules and allocating resources. In addition to her work at Aleph Beta, Adina serves as a Yoetzet Halacha (Advisor in Jewish Law) for Green Road Synagogue in Beachwood, Ohio. Adina's past leadership experiences include serving as the Tanakh department chair at the Fuchs Mizrachi School and as the Director of Student Life at both Fuchs Mizrachi and Ida Crown Jewish Academy. Adina is also a frequent lecturer for the Community Beit Midrash at Fuchs Mizrachi and for Siegel Lifelong Learning at Case Western Reserve University. She holds a BA in English Literature and an MA in Bible from Yeshiva University and an MA in English Education from Brooklyn College, and was certified as a Yoetzet Halacha from Nishmat’s Miriam Glaubach Center’s U.S. Yoatzot Halacha Fellows Program. In 2018, Adina won the Kohelet Prize for her innovative approach to education.
Sarah Rashba
Product Director
Sarah joined Aleph Beta as Product Director at the end of 2022. She leads our designers and engineers in developing the website and application that host Aleph Beta’s content. She is passionate about leveraging product to deepen the quality of users’ Torah learning and to help people around the world set and meet their Torah learning goals. Sarah came to Aleph Beta after six and a half years of Strategic Product Management at Palantir Technologies. Sarah has a Bachelors of Science degree, with concentrations in Management and Statistics, from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. She likes to think about how to bring statistical reasoning to our everyday decision making. Sarah lives in Jerusalem with her husband and two sons, and loves reading, singing, and traveling at every chance she gets.
Kuty Shalev
President
Kuty founded Aleph Beta together with Rabbi Fohrman in 2011 and serves as the President of the Board of Directors. Kuty was attracted to Rabbi Fohrman’s bravery in asking challenging questions and having the text reveal the answers. As a tech leader he challenged us to create a sustainable broad based subscription based service to give people the ability to learn Torah in this touching way from the text and no matter where they are in part, so that he could learn Torah while doing deadlifts.
